motherboard;a printed circuit board containing the principal components of a computer or other device, with connectors into which other circuit boards can be slotted.

Ram; Stands for "Random Access Memory," and is pronounced like the male sheep. RAM is made up of small memory chips that form a memory module. These modules are installed in the RAM slots on the motherboard of your computer.Every time you open a program, it gets loaded from the hard drive into the RAM. This is because reading data from the RAM is much faster than reading data from the hard drive.

Power supply; A power supply is an electronic device that supplies electric energy to an electrical load. The primary function of a power supply is to convert one form of electrical energy to another and, as a result, power supplies are sometimes referred to as electric power converters.

Graphics Card; a printed circuit board that controls the output to a display screen. also used by gamers to run graphic-intensive videogames

Optical Drive (aka, Disk Drive); a device that allows a computer to read from and write to computer disks.
