Robotics

On Tuesday we learned how to program NXT robots using Python. We built the 5-minute bot.



The next day of robotics we installed the touch sensor and the sonar sensor. We started playing around with them to make sure that it worked. We only got the touch sensor to work today though. Here is the code for for the sensor and a video of the robots moving around:





On the third day we worked on colour. We had to make the robot recognize colours. We first tried to doing it with a red ball. Then we tried to get it to follow a blue line. Here is a video of the robot trying to follow the blue line:

On the fifth day of robotics we tried to get the sonar and touch sensors to work again. We had trouble trying to get them to work again but no matter what we tried we couldn't get it to work. We keeping errors saying that its invalid. We are trying to see what makes it invalid, We had to ask the teacher and he told us that he didn't see thing wrong with the code, So were trying to see what the problem is.
