Robotics Project

Robot

Any machine that dooes work on its own, automatically.

This week we are working on robotics. On Monday, we built a robot. Then on Tuesday we set up some commands so the robot can act the way we wanted it to. On Wednesday we were editing our robots to make it look better, then we added a new tool and it was the color sensor. Our challenge was to create a code for the robot to stay in a square and once it saw the color green, it was suppose to react and back up and go to a different direction. Then today, Thursday, our challenge for the day was called Mars Challenge. We had to rebuild our robot and make it to a smaller model.

We didn't make those unique kind of robots, but we made a five minute robot. Meaning we get all the parts to it, and all we have to do is write the code, connect it to the computer and then just build.

The picture below me is an example of the five minute robot model.

This picture shows the parts to the robot that are necessary, for the robot to be successful.

This is ultrasonic sensor

Ultrasonic- of or involving sounds waves with a frequency above the upper limit of human hearing.

Now this is a touch sensor.

Touch sensor- a a simple mechanism that contains a button and a switch.
