Scratch

Monday, December 1, 2014 we learned to use scratch. Scratch is a gaming program that lets you create and develop your own games!

Try it out!

Ping Pong

To play press the green flag above. For player one to move, press the up and down arrows. In order for player two to move, press the "s" and "w" keys on the keyboard.

High Try

The game is named high try because you got to try in order to get to the top which is high.

Soccer goal

The game starts off in a soccer field, the crab asks you if you are ready for an adventure. If you click yes, then you will have to reach for the soccer ball, and it will take you to a city. However, if you click no, then the game screen will automatically turn black. The code on top is the code for all these commands.

Soccer Ball

In order for the soccer ball to show just in the soccer field, "when flag is clicked" command is suppose to be imputed. On the bottom of the command there is suppose to be a "show" command, in order for the soccer ball to show. The ball would only show when the soccer field is their due to the background codes shown above.

City

After you move to the soccer ball it takes you to a city and it asks you to solve a riddle, after that you are allowed to go into the helicopter to take you some place higher.

Helicopter

The helicopter disappears when the flag is clicked due to commands on top. The helicopter will only appear when the background changes to the city background.

Canyon

When you enter the helicopter, afterwards, it will take you to a canyon telling you to click on the moving ball. However, it is timed, giving you 5 seconds to catch it, so you better catch it fast! If you catch it, the helicopter will drive you some place higher.

Mount Everest

If you got this far, it means you are smarter than the game. At this point you have to answer how tall Mount Everest is. If you answer it wrong, then it will say try again until you get it right. If you get it right, a spaceship will take you to the final destination.

space

This is the final destination. If you get this write then you will pass the game. Good Luck!

Multiplayer Meshing

Tuesday, December 2, 2014 we learned to use BYOB. BYOB is a program where you can game as well as scratch but in this program you can give someone else your IP address and they can join as well! Many people can join, however too many can cause lag in your game.

Broadcasting

However, as you join, if you command your script to move, it will not show on the other players screen. To fix this you have to add a broadcast message. This mean it will broadcast what you are trying to do to the other player's screen.

Quiz

Play the game! This is the game I created with Scratch! Hope you have fun, I know I did by creating it. The answers are: commands, graphic card, ram, no, breadboard, yes, light sensor, broadcast, IP address, and Guido.
