Server Project

In Week 1 we opened a server and looked inside:

The CPU carries out all the instructions given when running a computer program.

The clock battery saves the exact time even after the computer is turned off.

The HDD stores all of the data in the computer.

The heat sink is used to cool the CPU by absorbing excessive heat.

The media drive reads data from CDs, DVDs, and other optical disks.

The motherboard is the circuit board that holds the main components of the computer.

The power supply unit converts AC power to low-voltage DC power for the computer.

Random-access memory allows the computer to read data regardless of the order in which it was accessed.
