The picture above is a breadboard. A breadboard is used to build and test circuits quickly before finalizing any circuit design. The breadboard has many holes into which circuit components like ICs and resistors can be inserted
The picture above is a resistor. Resistors are the most commonly used component in electronics and their purpose is to create specified values of current and voltage in a circuit.
The picture above is a transistor. A transistor is a semiconductor device used to amplify and switch electronic signals and electrical power. It is composed of semiconductor material with at least three terminals for connection to an external circuit.
The picture above is a L.E.D. A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor light source. LEDs are used as indicator lamps in many devices and are increasingly used for general lighting.
The picture above is a soldering gun. A soldering gun is an approximately pistol-shaped tool for soldering metals using tin-based solder to achieve a strong mechanical bond with good electrical contact.
Today, 10/29/13 we used soldering guns to put together the LEDs, and battery holder. By using the soldering gun we made a strong bond with he metals to hold everything in place.
The picture above are the AND,OR,NAND,and,NOR gates. The four gates above are important because they are the basic infrastructure of boards.
