3D Game Graphics
I learned how to Program under a programming code named Alice where you gave characters that were already in the program actions like walking across even there feet didn't actually move they just glid across the picture.
This screen shot here Is of the first game that I made "Juans World" the Idea of this game is that juan is suppose to mowe the lawn of his whole farm with his lawn mower as you notice in the picture Farmer Juan has an over sized cow that walks into the farmers house and a bunch of random characters that are just there to entertain.
This is the code that I used to program these characters to move it very simple to control the characters as you can see in the code Juan is already responding to the command that says hello by waving his hand up. And the lawnmower will move right across, to the code that it was programmed to. As same as the cow would move across to the farm house. This Alice program as simple as it looks this program was hard.
Day two on Wednesday we Programmed 3d figures on a program called sketchup 8 a vertial world that you can design you own shapes like triangles circles and spears and a bunch of other options You can even create an arcutechure style of house.
Visual World
As you can see from this photo I design a prison cell which later turned into an army base. This prison was design by the square shaped tool that Sketchup had and it a place for bad individuals in its prison days I just started adding more and more square shapes and putting cool backgrounds I just put the whole prison to be a bricks. And you can add figures right off a website that is powered by google so the shapes don't just look like shapes all plain and boring you can actually put people and trucks etc, I put Michael Jackson as prisoner and a poster and there's also a guy getting exicutted I found this game programm much easier than alice. Alice was boring and to complicated this ones a lot easier. But what I found a lot cooler in alice is that you can programm the characters to move to curtain codes and they will follow you can also individually move a certain part of a figure like if I were to have the head of the horse to move right across while the body can stay put but it also looks choppy.
As you can from the physical aspects of the army base you can see black intersecting lines. I wasn't able to completely make the whole prison out of the square module so I used the pencil module and I just drew that walls and floors to the house in weird looking patterns like a diamond.
What if found weird everywhere I turned to face the two guys also would face where ever I would move with the curser.
Vidle Python
On Thursday we worked on vidle python a python program which allows you to code shapes you can also get codes to code on their website which is vpython.org here is where you learn codes for beginners. They give you code on shapes like the sphere which you can also program to be a globe.
This is the code used to make the sphere shape and the planet earth the code had to be exactly right to work
