3D-Programming

home

Starting as of week 5 we will be learning how to to 3D-Programming. Today we are using a program called Alice a pretty simple system but the only problem with it is trying to get it right and program it. It can also be very annoying.

Here is the start of the Alice program. It doesn't look hard well your right it's quite easy really but it's just really really annoying>

Here we have a picture of a short video I was making. The video is about a few space marines that are figting the King Locust and there happens to be a dinosaur. Nothing cool. Actually, it's very stupid even though I was very late for school.

In this final picture I have the coding that was used, there's nothing there it's just the characters moving and them just saying stuff.

SketchUp

We have now moved one from Alice to another program and that would be Sketchup and wanna know something neat it was created by Google. Where you can basically create stuff for like archetecture and stuff. For example houses, towers, planes, robots, and a lot more.

Although I did had some wierd problems with this and for this one it was that the screen went black and I was able to drawn rectangles so I went a little artsy and did this. Cool huh?

Here was another problem that I had and for this one I don't know how to describe this one. All I know was that everything froze and whenever I moved the mouse the colors would be all over the place. It made it look pretty cool as well.

Here's one thing you can use using sketchup making POKEBALLS! Of course, there are other things that you can make as I said but come on who doesn't like pokemon. What I'm trying to do is make a 3D pokeball of course but for this one it's going to be 3D printed and you can open it an close it. It's pretty difficult trying to get it in the correct place but it's working. NOTE: When I'm done I'll post the final result.

Visual Python

Now from Sketchup to Visual Python, this one has to be my favorite one out of the two so far but also the most complicated. What we did for this one was make orbits and it wasn't so bad and make balls bounce, also making cool patterns.

Here is the code that was used for making the planetary orbit. A whole lot of math as you can see which suuuucks but hey the results are pretty neat.

Our first task was to make a ball bounce and it was pretty easy not much work to made in this.

The next thing that was given was to make the ball bounce of two walls, that wasn't to hard as well but what annoyed me was putting into place because it not come out right.

Here was the final results of the planet code, and if you copy mine it should look exactly like it.

This is completly off-topic but I thought I should screenshot this because it looks so cool. It looks like an apocolypse earth which is so cool and I don't know what happened here but whatever. It's cool RIGHT!?
